Special Council Meeting

That Council acknowledge and congratulate Councillor Juanita Nathan on becoming a Member of Parliament and to thank her for her service to the Ward 7 residents of Markham.

That the the rules of procedure be waived to permit Gregory Karastergios to speak at today's Council meeting in relation to item 5.1 as he previously spoke at the April 22, 2025, Special DSC meeting on this matter.

That the deputations from Grace Jia, Dave Sun, Cao Qiong, Yolla Krob, and Gregory Karastergios, be received.

That the report of the Special Development Services Committee be received & adopted. (Item 1):

That the report, dated April 22, 2025, titled, “RECOMMENDATION REPORT, CF Markville Nominee Inc. That By-law 2025-35 be given three readings and enacted.

That the verbal update provided by Claudia Storto, City Solicitor ＆ Director of People Resources, be received; and further, That staff be authorized and directed to do all things necessary to give effect to these resolutions .

That the Special Council meeting of May 6, 2025 be adjourned at 5:28 PM.
