Whereas it has come to the attention of the Ward Councillor that there is confusion arising from the naming of Louisbourg Way, a street in Ward 5 that is bisected by a fence; and, Whereas the community has raised concerns about safety, access of emergency vehicles and wayfinding that might result in delays of emergency personnel arriving on scene; and, Whereas the typical process for renaming a street, requiring a public meeting and vote, may not result in any action being taken in a timely manner or a consensus on the direction moving forward. Now therefore be it resolved: That Council directs the appropriate Staff to report back to Development Services Committee on any issues that have been documented on the street, a suggested course of action and any implications arising from the renaming of all or a portion of Louisbourg Way.
