That the minutes of the Markham Environmental Advisory Committee (MEAC) meeting held on February 23, 2023 be adopted as distributed.

That the minutes of the Markham Environmental Advisory Committee (MEAC) meeting held on May 25, 2023 be brought forward to inform Markham Council that Shein is an online fast fashion retailer, headquartered in Singapore, which has grown to become the world's largest fashion retailer; that Shein is operating at 10 Canfield Drive, in Markham; that Shein has a number of human rights allegations against it and there are environment concerns resulting from its operations; that the group Hand in Hand is submitting a petition to the Federal Government of Canada as noted above, Petition e-4456 - Petitions (ourcommons.ca) and that MEAC respectfully requests that Markham Council consider signing the petition.
